Quick Curry Rice
This recipe came to me due to my stove being broken, and having nothing else in the house to eat. It uses a microwave, but could be easily adapted to work on the stove. The rice-to-water ratio of 1 cup:1 cup is what my rice recommends; follow the ratio advised by the rice you have.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup Minute Rice
- 3 dashes sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon tumeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon msg powder
- 1 teaspoon yellow curry powder
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
Special Equipment
- None
Steps
- Add water to microwavable bowl
- Add the seasonings and stir thoroughly
- Add the rice to the water and stir thoroughly
- Cover with a microwave-safe plant and microwave on full power for 6 minutes (or follow microwave directions on box)
- Let sit for 5 minutes then fluff rice
- Add butter to rice and stir
- Add salt & pepper to taste
